THEY DON'T TALK

By

Darby Brennan

There are some things Bodie and Doyle don't say to one another.

An established relationship story.

Written: November 2007. Word count: 100.

They don't talk about them. Not even with one another.

Not even when they're in bed, safe, secure, making love, locked in passion, holding one another, sharing kisses, caresses, touches.

They don't talk about them.

They'll talk about anything else: hopes, dreams, wants, desires, friendship, Cowley, the past, the present, the future. Sometimes they'll even talk about their love for one another.

But what they don't mention, what they'll never share, are the nightmares that visit them.

The nightmares their job brings to them.

Their nightmares are their individual secrets.

They don't talk about them. Not even with one another.
