"Well, I'm waiting." Cowley glared at the two men in front of him.
Would they be honest?
Or would they lie?
Would they be remaining in CI5?
Or would they be out by the end of the day?
He watched them look at one another.
He watched them communicate silently.
He watched and he waited.
He judged the time was right.
"Well," he repeated. "Are you, or are you not, involved in a relationship with one another beyond your working one?"
"Yes, sir."
He nodded once and returned to his paperwork.
Messrs. Bodie and Doyle would be remaining in CI5.
