He went to Ray's flat.
The look on Ray's face made him momentarily glad he'd brought his gun.
"What do you want?" Ray's tone was uncompromising.
"Can I come in?"
"Why?"
"There's something I want to say."
"What? That you've come here to do me a favour? Going to offer me a mercy fuck, are you, Bodie? Wouldn't be the first time, would it?" Contempt dripped from Ray's voice.
"Ray. I –"
"Piss off, Bodie. I don't want any favours from you."
With those words, Ray slammed the door.
