Time, for the elements, is an illusion.

An established relationship story.

Written: October 2007. Word count: 100.

For the humans time is real. It makes up their lives. They live by it. It is.

For the elements time is an illusion. It is something to be manipulated; played with; used. It is not.

Steel's ability to play with time, to alter it, to change what has been into what he wants it to have been, is known only to Steel himself, his lover Silver, and 'Them'.

When he is with Sapphire, Steel makes her 'take time back', makes her create the illusion.

When he is with Silver, it seems as if Steel can make time stand still.
