I thought I was dreaming. Hallucinating.

What happened, what I thought happened, couldn't have done.

It couldn't have done.

Steel, cold, aloof, distant, icy, steely, grey, uncaring Steel, the man I've loved and wanted for what seems like forever, couldn't have kissed me.

Couldn't still be kissing me. Holding me. Caressing me.

His kiss couldn't be so warm.

His grip couldn't be so gentle.

His touch couldn't be so tender.

I had to be dreaming. Hallucinating.

I had to be.

I dared to open my eyes. Certain that he wouldn't be there.

He was.

I was wrong.

It was real.
