Everyone knows there are things better left unsaid.

At least Hutch knew it.

He knew if he told Starsky the truth. If he told him how he felt about him, told him he loved him, it would change everything.

It would change their partnership.

It would change 'me and thee'.

It would change their friendship.

It would change how Starsky saw him.

It was kinder not to tell.

Kinder for Starsky not to put him through that.

Kinder for Hutch not to have to deal with Starsky's disgust.

So Hutch kept quiet.

But he wished he didn't have to.
