"This isn't going to work."
"Jethro?"
Jethro heard fear, disappointment and pain in Ducky's voice and hastened to reassure him. "No, Duck, not this," he said, gently pulling Ducky even closer to him. "This is going to work. I meant us pretending we're just good friends. I can't come down here and treat you like I always have."
"Can you not?"
"No."
"Well then, my dear, since scuttlebutt says we've been lovers for years now, why don't we simply let people know the gossip is in fact true?"
Jethro smiled. "Yeah, Duck. Why don't we do that?" He kissed him.
