Ducky is thinking about Jethro.
A pre-slash story.
Written: September 2008. Word count: 200.
He touched his cheek where moments earlier Jethro's hand had been.
He can still feel the warm, callused palm as it patted his skin.
He can still feel the individual fingers stroking his cheek.
He can still feel the way his body tingled and throbbed as Jethro touched him in what was a more intimate way than his usual touches.
He wishes for what might be the hundredth, the thousandth, the ten thousandth time that his dearest, oldest, closest friend might offer another kind of intimacy.
He wonders why he keeps on wishing when he knows that day will never come.
He wonders why he still longs for it so much.
He wonders why he still dreams of it so often.
He wonders why he still thinks of it each day.
He wonders why he can still become so aroused when, alone in his bed, he allows his mind to imagine that Jethro is by his side, stroking him, kissing him, holding him, loving him.
He wonders if the day will ever come when he will stop longing for his beloved friend.
He smiles ruefully to himself as he knows there is not a chance that day will ever come.
