Ducky compares Jethro's hugs and kisses to the sunrise and sunset.
An established relationship story.
Written: April 2007. Word count: 300.
Sometimes my beloved's hugs and kisses remind me of the sunrise.
They are bright and shining.
They offer a new beginning, change, hope, the promise of the new, the knowledge that one is not certain of quite what the day will bring.
They give one buoyancy, they are alive, they ask questions, they bring the promise of more such embraces to come.
They allow one to believe that the day may be spent in frenetic loving.
Sometimes my beloved's hugs and kisses remind me of the sunset.
They are warm, soothing, peaceful, safe and secure.
They offer the promise of the known, the expected, the awareness that one knows what the day has brought.
They give one tranquility, they are comforting, they give answers, they bring the promise of more such cuddles to come.
They allow one to know that the evening will be spent in gentle loving.
Being in Jethro's arms, with his mouth on mine, is a wondrous place to be.
From sunrise to sunset he loves me.
From sunrise to sunset he is my life. My truth. My beauty. My peace. My shelter. Mine.
From sunrise to sunset he completes me. Makes me whole. Makes me real.
From sunrise to sunset I love him.
From sunrise to sunset I give him my trust. My belief. My shelter. Myself.
From sunrise to sunset I offer him my soul. My heart. My very being.
Sunrise brings hope. Sunset brings knowledge.
We need both to complete us, just as the world needs both to go on being.
Jethro is both my sunrise and my sunset. With him I can enjoy equally the sunrise and the sunset, and all of the time in-between.
With Jethro I do not have to choose. I have it all. He has given it to me.
