Jethro decides it's time to dance with Ducky.

A first time story.

Written: May 2007. Word count: 200.

For years they had been dancing around one another.

Now, Jethro decided, it was time that they danced together.

One night he invited Ducky to his home, poured him a glass of his good whiskey, put an old record on his ancient stereo, held out his hand and invited Ducky to dance with him.

After a moment or two of simply looking in surprise up at Jethro, Ducky offered his own hand and allowed Jethro to pull him to his feet and gather him into his arms.

Unlike Ducky, Jethro wasn't a skilled dancer, but for the kind of dancing he had in mind, his ability was more than enough. Holding Ducky closely against him, letting his head rest against Ducky's, drinking in the clean, pure scent of pine trees and formaldehyde, Jethro moved slowly around the room, leading Ducky in a dance that was as old as time itself.

When the music ended, Jethro pulled back just far enough to lower his head and find Ducky's mouth. Ducky returned the kiss and began to sway gently, moving his body in time to music that only he could hear.

Later, in Jethro's bed, they found another way to dance together.
