ANOTHER DAY

The sky lightens as dawn's fingers cast their pale shadows into the room heralding the gift of another day.
As I have been for the last ten days, I am sitting by the bedside of my beloved. Waiting.
Waiting for him to awaken. To make a new start. A new beginning.
As I sit I pray, as I have never prayed before, that today will be the day when his life will, like the dawn, begin again.
That my life, dependant on him as the new day is on the sunrise, will also re-start.
As another day ends, he awakens.
