Fragments of her life. Her memories. Her love. Of the woman she was.
The woman with whom I share my home is not Mother.
Mother is trapped inside the person I see each day.
Some days a little of Mother emerges.
Most days she does not.
Yet even when Mother is not Mother, she is still the woman I love.
The woman who brought me into this world.
The woman who held me, dried my tears, cared for me.
The woman who accepted, without censure, my life choices.
The woman who accepted Jethro.
