Despite the fact she thought she'd been about to fall asleep, she hasn't. She's still awake, listening to the regular sound of Ziva's breathing as the younger woman sleeps. Minutes ago she felt sleepy, now she feels wide awake.
Too much has happened to her since her arrival in Cairo. But the most important thing, the most intense thing, the most surprising thing, was meeting Ziva and ending up in bed with her.
Jenny has never considered herself to be a passionate, highly sexed woman. She's always held herself apart from other people, even those she went to bed with. She keeps her distance, she builds walls, she even considers herself to be cold, aloof Even at her most involved, she remains detached and apart from the man she was with.
But all the changed when Ziva had taken her to bed. Ziva had shown her what lovemaking was like, Ziva had shown her she could be passionate; Ziva had shown her she was not cold or aloof. Ziva had shown her the world had colors, vivid colors. Ziva had taught her about sex, Ziva had taught her about love, Ziva had taught her about herself. Ziva had melted her.
