A gen-story.
Written: March 2011. Word count: 300.
I watch you and I wait.
I watch you and I wait for the right time.
I watch you and I wait for the moment when I will take my revenge on you.
I watch you as I have been watching you for weeks.
I watch you as I have been watching you for months.
Sometimes I feel as if I have been watching you for years; decades even.
I watch you and I wait.
I know you.
I know you better than a lover could know you.
I know you better than a parent could know you.
I know you better than sibling could know you.
I know you better than a coworker could know you.
I know you better than a friend could know you.
Sometimes I think I know you better than you know yourself.
I watch you and you do not see me watching you.
I watch you and your coworkers do not see me watching you.
I watch you and I wonder why your coworkers do not see me; they should see me. It is their job to see me. But they do not.
I watch you and I am surprised he does not see me watching you. Am I that good? Maybe I am.
I watch you and I wait.
I know how popular you are among your coworkers.
I know none of them dislikes you.
I know that any negative remark is made in jest.
I know you are well liked; loved even.
I watch you because I despise you.
I watch you because you ruined my life.
I watch you because one day I will ruin your life.
I watch you because one day very soon Doctor Donald 'call me Ducky' Mallard you will be mine.
I watch you and I wait.
