MAGIC
By
Ashleigh Anpilova
Tim doesn't believe in magic – or at least he didn't used to.
An established relationship story.
Written: July 2008. Word count: 200.
Tim doesn't believe in magic; well of course he wouldn't.
He's a Federal Agent; he's a computer geek; he knows about science. He believes in facts; hard, cold, logical facts.
Sure he writes, he creates a fantasy world, but even that's 'real'.
Magic isn't real.
Magic isn't believable.
Magic isn't tangible.
Magic isn't logical.
Therefore he doesn't believe in magic.
At least he didn't used to.
But all that changed a few hours ago when he held Abby's and his twin boys for the very first time.
All that changed a few hours ago when he looked at them lying in their cots.
All that changed a few hours ago when, in perfect synchrony, they opened their eyes and looked up at him.
Of course they were looking at him; of course they were smiling at him; of course they recognized him. Of course they were; he knows they were.
Thomas Jethro McGee and Benjamin Donald McGee. His babies.
Well his and Abby's.
Together they have created these tiny beings.
Together they have made new life.
Together their love has made new people to love.
Together they have made magic.
Now Tim believes in magic; well of course he would.
